CUTE TOGETHER
Cute Together is a manifestation of domesticity inspired by the explorers and mapmakers who once roamed the earth in a quest for discovery. The proposal is set in a futuristic timeframe that resides someplace between nature and technology, where utmost human comfort and happiness is achieved by being immersed with nature and its life cycles. It is a time where our lives are defined not by materialism and consumerism, but in soul searching, where we live closer to mother earth, learn from her and from each other.
Our illustrations depict the domestic life of three distinct explorers:
The Monk(a), where human activities and function are inspired from natural form.
The Astronaut(b), who is looking to other-worldly things to reflect on an outer space perspective.
The Punk(y), where the remnants of industrial waste are employed to reflect a DIY lifestyle that is liberal and free.
If a, b or y is different way of living, then 1,2,3,4 represents sequence of discovery: wandering, collecting, creating, and connecting.
When we take on different personalities, we can see our reflection. Different perspectives are connected through the innate human values of sharing and creating that we are dependent on for survival. Where we embrace differences and share our resources. This is our idea of Home (a y 4) where expression, identity and exploration coexist.
